Overland Experts is employed by film companies to support film crews in challenging locations or to appear in productions featuring expedition driving. The company brings years of international field experience to this film production and support work. Bruce Elfstrom, President of OEX , has appeared on camera as an expert expedition leader, and has provided lead off-camera support for crews heading into primitive locations around the world. Bruce has worked in four continents with production companies and as an expedition leader.

Recent OEX projects include on camera appearances and full vehicle support for the National Geographic film, Vietnam’s Unseen War: Pictures from the Other Side, a documentary shot in Vietnam profiling the lives and work of North Vietnamese war photographers. The images uncovered in the documentary were collected in a book, Another Vietnam: Pictures of the War From the Other Side, also by National Geographic, and are part of a traveling exhibit. OEX handled all the logistical support for the crews as they traveled through remote locations in Southeast Asia.
OEX is also featured in the new television series, Lost Roads, a HDTV travel program exploring the history of the world’s great vanishing roads. The highways and paths of dirt, mud and rock that once carried explorers across mountain passes, settlers to new homes, and miners to treasure-troves of gold, have nearly disappeared. The Lost Roads series explores these long forgotten byways and their unique place in the history of America and the world. Adventure merges with folklore and facts about the history and environment of the roads, the lives and culture of the people who created them, and the travelers who traversed them.
